LumenCache Savant lighting integration.

Good afternoon Derek. I have a hypothetical question for you. If I wanted to integrate LumenCache with an automation solution like Savant in its current offering can it be done? If so can it be integrated by IP utilizing let's say a solution like Global Cache or would you recommend something else? Or is there a better way to tie LumenCache to Savant?

Not Derek, but you sure can control the LC platform from the Global Cache IP2Serial unit.

We formed a relationship with Global Cache at CEDIA show this September. Basically, we will embed their module into some of our products so the GC protocol will pass through the gateway into the light/room of choice. You can control AV equipment, AC units with IR controls, etc.

As for Savant controlling LumenCache. The Gateway emulates a Lutron panel in addition to MODBUS and BACnet protocols so you can instantly connect to it with dozens of control systems like Savant. If you need some of the more advanced features LumenCache can do, the Lutron interface is limited there. After next year we should have enough pull to get control systems to write custom drivers for LumenCache so all the cool features are exposed to the interface.
