Small LumenCache System for Emergency Lighting

We are in the midst of installing a small residential LC system in Valley Forge PA. This system was to help us evaluate the LumenCache (LC) system as it fits nicely into our company tagline of PV / EV / Smart Home.

The project was a whole house rehab with several internal rooms being completely opened up. We decided to start with emergency lighting to leverage the LC battery backup functionality... primary bedrooms, hallway, kitchen, family room and out to door. We decided to expand the system to include many of the LC variants from wiring pattern (daisy chain to home run), to lighting type (constant current ceiling fixtures to constant voltage multi-bulb fixtures and LED strips), to switch types (momentary decora to occupancy sensor or both).

We just finished connecting the LC system to HomeSeer (home automation control software) that is hosted on a raspberrypi3 mounted in the LC cabinet. Currently, the only client is a PC based browser or an iPhone which leverages the voice activated features. Our next step will be to install a Pi touch screen.

Our impressions thus far have been very favorable. Once you get your head around direct DC lighting over CAT5, everything falls into place ;-)
