Minnesota inspector

Need help getting a local official to understand and accept your system? Post examples of local zoning laws that are outdated or do not apply to the new reality of LED lighting. Find a regulation that is biased? Discuss compliance issues, regulations, and other laws related to lighting and wiring as they apply to LumenCache.

I haven't seen any restrictions for low voltage lighting in Minnesota. With all the cheap LED strip lighting and products flooding the market from China some AHJ's require safety tests for low voltage products even down to 12V strips. SELV ratings are 30VDC and below. While LumenCache PDMs have under 30V supply voltage, the drivers can supply up to 53V (at a tiny 300mA current).

LumenCache passed UL2108 certifications for USA by Intertek. The compliance report is attached.

NOTE: The UL2108 certified product is supplied as a complete panel unit. There are many versions to choose from to meet your specific project size and requirements. See the attached report for the model numbers and details. Here's a photo of an assembled panel. LumenCache is approved for both surface mounting and recessed installation.

Compliant lights for LumenCache panels can be listed UL2108, UL8750, or UL1598.
