Re: California JA8 Certification

Need help getting a local official to understand and accept your system? Post examples of local zoning laws that are outdated or do not apply to the new reality of LED lighting. Find a regulation that is biased? Discuss compliance issues, regulations, and other laws related to lighting and wiring as they apply to LumenCache.

Re: California JA8 Certification

Can anyone in the California Energy Commission or California Energy Codes and Standards provide guidance on an LVDC lighting system at is relates to socketed bulb fixtures in new construction?

Title 24, JA8 describes this for AC supply. What happens when you use a controlled power system, such as LumenCache, to provide LVDC into a fixture, so that it only allows high efficiency LED lights?

Our bulbs consume a fraction of the incandescent power and current the fixtures are designed to support. The L2-SV driver has a max current around 1A so that limits the total fixture power to 50W. Still enough to light up 10 high efficiency LED bulbs.
