Reducing EM and RF radiation and LED PWM

New product requests and discussion. The Highly Modular Microgrid Platform supports hundreds of products. Many will be developed by LumenCache Labs but we will often recommend another developer take the reigns on a product they are ideally suited for. Product developers should request access to the private Developers Forums.

Reducing EM and RF radiation and LED PWM

Post by dc »

A few people have installed LC to reduce RF noise from AC wires and dimmers. Or just the buzzing noise. Also the how the stroboscopic effect affects our eyes and brains causing eyestrain and fatigue. There's a new driver called the L2-CCUA100 that is Analog dimmed!  Zero flicker!   Great for photographers or vloggers as it will not interfere with the cameras at all.  It'll be available around July and is a simple swap if you used one of the other drivers.

The enclosure contains all the RF emitting devices (drivers, etc) and it's usually mounted in a basement or closet away from humans. The LEDs have no driver and emit mostly photons and a little heat. The wires are UTP so there's very little emitted from them. In fact, if you use one of the wire tracer toners to find a wire in a LumenCache house, you'll find it VERY quiet near the panel except for the toner transmitter. Unlike AC where it's hard to find the toner with all the HUMMMM of the AC buzzing.
